This area is home to the Kala Roos caves that contain paintings from the Stone Age. Do note that prior permission from the SP of Kishtwar is required to visit Bangus.
Daksum

Sitting pretty at a height of 2,438m above sea level, Daksum is the perfect spot for long nature walks with kids. April to September is the best time to visit this heavenly place.
Warwan Valley
Situatedin the scenic Kishtwar district is the Warwan Valley. It is located on the banks of the gorgeous Warwan River. Perched at a height of 2,133m above sea level, this place is pristine with clear air and lush meadows that invite you to picnic or go for hikes with family.
Gurez
About 86 km from Bandipura is this village that is located along the historic Silk Route. It’s a great place to educate your kids about this ancient trade route that connected so many different countries.
This is one of the lesser known places in Kashmir that is situated at a height of 2,400m above sea level and is known to be home to snow leopards and brown bears. Don’t forget to click loads of pictures of the glistening Kishanganga River that flows right through this area!
